Interviews — redesign functional guide

Manage redesigned interview reviews

Browse campaigns

  1. Open Performance → Interviews [new] in the manager workspace.
  2. Use the campaign search and available filters described below to find the campaign.
  3. Open the intended campaign to continue to its authorized reviews.

The embedded English page is titled Review campaigns. Its table shows Name, Status, Completion, Participants and Created At. Use the search and scope controls to locate the campaign, then open its row; list completion is separate from a participant’s signature.

Open and monitor an assigned review

  1. Open the relevant campaign and select the participant review assigned to you.
  2. Check the campaign phase and your role before choosing Start preparation or another available action.
  3. Complete the questions and any final comment required for the current phase. Review required answers and validation messages before finishing or signing.
  4. Reopen the participant review to confirm its status and available next step.

Participant-specific review screens can include preparation, interview-day contributions, final comments, answer sharing, validation and signature/submission. Campaign owner, reader and evaluator are separate responsibilities; available actions depend on the selected record and phase.

Action or informationMeaning and condition
Start preparationStarts the current participant's preparation. The backend checks ownership, status and campaign availability. Merely opening the screen does not start it.
Finish preparationValidates required answers and moves the participant from preparation toward the next phase. Resolve highlighted missing answers first.
Show/hide answersSharing operation for the participant's answers. Question visibility and campaign phase settings also apply.
Final commentSeparate from the answer fields; availability depends on the current phase.
Submit / sign / refuseCampaign configuration determines whether a signature is required and whether refusal is offered. Submission and signature are different operations.
PDFA separate generated output. Preview, final download and regeneration are not equivalent to changing answers.
Change/add evaluator; lock/unlock; reopenConditional administrative actions. They affect stored workflow or assignments; consult the administrator before using them.

Take part in your interview

Find your interview

Switch to the personal workspace using the top-right space selector. Choose Interview, or Profile → Interviews. Depending on your organization's setup, the profile shell may link to legacy interviews or nextgen reviews; identify the workflow from the campaign and review controls.

  1. Check the deadline and status on the intended card, then choose See.
  2. Confirm the campaign and your participant role. Preparation and interview phases may be configured separately.
  3. Choose the start action when you are ready to begin. Answer the questions available to your role and navigate the form sections.
  4. Review required answers and correct any validation messages before finishing preparation. A saved draft answer, finished preparation and a signature are different states.
  5. Return for the discussion and any final comment, answer-sharing, submission or signature step offered by the campaign.

Legacy employee journey

The following legacy participation sequence is documented in Confluence:

  1. In the profile’s interview section, expand the relevant interview and use its view action.
  2. Complete the preparation and finish it.
  3. Return after the manager has finished and review the agreed content.
  4. If a correction is needed, request authorized reopening before signing.
  5. When offered, tick the electronic-signature checkbox and confirm signing.

The legacy and nextgen workflows have different screens and permissions. Follow the steps and actions displayed for the selected campaign generation. A campaign can be complete while an individual signature or generated report is still pending; check each output separately.

Question controls and expected results

Questionnaires can include text, single/multiple choices, ratings, dates, skills, objectives and development content depending on the generation and configured form. Required fields, choices and scales belong to the form; there is no universal rating scale. Employee-only and evaluator-only questions can differ. See the questionnaire guide for control behavior and the distinction between form visibility and answer sharing.

Rules, troubleshooting and FAQ

Symptom / questionWhat to check
No campaign or cardCorrect workspace, assignment, campaign dates/publication and access. An empty legacy list does not prove no nextgen interviews exist.
Cannot editParticipant ownership, preparation/interview phase, finished/archived campaign, lock and form visibility.
Cannot finish preparationRequired answers and question-specific validation. Nextgen can return missing-question information to the affected participant.
Cannot see the other person's answersQuestion audience, phase visibility and answer-sharing state. Do not assume a manager relationship bypasses these checks.
A campaign looks complete but an interview is unsignedCampaign lifecycle, individual preparation and signatures are separate.
A report/PDF is missing or outdatedConfirm participant answers and completion first, then check output status and available generation action.
Need to change evaluator or correct signed contentUse an authorized administrator. Legacy reopening is a dedicated right; nextgen has separate delegation and reopening rules.
Does this replace People Review? No. Interview answers may be selected for a People Review Talent Card; that does not grant employees access to calibration results.
